Greeting is an act of communication in which human beings intentionally make their presence known to each other, to show attention to, and to suggest a type of relationship or social status between individuals or groups of people coming in contact with each other.

Participant

Visitors can choose the way they like to enjoy the show. They can be performer or audience.Performers will experience the museum in the virtual reality. While the audiences will experience the museum in the physical environment.

Physical Installation

 

This is how the motion platform is set up. There are spot lights that emphasize the performance. The performer is standing on the square mat, giving the audience an image of the stage. Performer is going to perform in front of the mirror. We realized that most of the greeting motions are symmetrical. So when the performer is greeting in front of the mirror, it looks like they’re greeting themselves.
